For years, Bali has been the superstar of tourism and property investment in Indonesia. Everybody wanted a piece of it. Villas popped up everywhere, beach clubs multiplied like mushrooms after rain, and property prices climbed higher every year.

But here’s the thing most smart investors are starting to realize: finding “cheap opportunities” in Bali today is getting harder. That’s why more people are turning their eyes toward Lombok. And honestly? The timing could not be more interesting.

According to Feel Invest Group, Lombok is entering a phase many investors compare to “Bali before the boom.” The island is still relatively untouched, land prices remain lower, and tourism development continues to grow steadily.  In simple words: Lombok still has room to explode.

One of the biggest reasons investors are moving now is infrastructure development. The Indonesian government has heavily promoted Lombok through the “10 New Balis” tourism initiative. Projects like the Mandalika circuit, road improvements, airport access, and tourism zones are helping the island attract international attention.

That’s why many investors believe buying property in Lombok today is not just about earning rental income next year. It’s about positioning yourself before prices rise significantly over the next 5 to 10 years.

South Lombok especially has become the spotlight area. Places like Kuta Lombok are attracting surfers, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and travelers who want the tropical lifestyle without Bali’s overcrowded vibe. Instead of endless traffic jams and packed beaches, Lombok still offers empty coastlines, peaceful hills, and a more relaxed atmosphere.

Ironically, that “less developed” feeling is exactly what makes it attractive. According to several Lombok investment platforms, demand for villas and short-term rentals continues growing as tourism numbers increase. Some developers even project annual returns between 10 percent to 16 percent depending on the project, location, and management quality.

Beside that, not every project becomes successful overnight. Some promotional materials online can sound overly optimistic, especially when talking about ROI. Even experienced investors on Reddit often remind newcomers that property investment is still a long-term game requiring patience, research, and good financial planning.

That’s an important point. Lombok is not a magical shortcut to instant wealth. But compared to more saturated markets, Lombok offers something rare: early-stage opportunity. Investors entering now are essentially buying into future growth instead of competing inside an already overheated market.

Business in lombok have advantage is flexibility. Lombok’s economy is growing not only from tourism, but also from supporting sectors like hospitality, cafes, wellness businesses, eco-resorts, and digital services. So the opportunity is bigger than simply “buy villa, rent villa.”

Many entrepreneurs are building long-term businesses around the island’s development. The interesting part is that Lombok still feels like a hidden treasure to many international investors. Once global exposure becomes larger, especially through tourism campaigns and social media, demand could rise much faster.

And usually, when everybody starts talking about an investment opportunity, the cheapest entry point is already gone. That’s why many people believe Lombok’s real golden moment is happening right now.
