  Thursday, 10 September 2026   Surabaya is one of Indonesia’s biggest cities, and now it is also getting attention for its efforts to become more energy efficient. Through cooperation between Germany and Indonesia, the city is being developed as a pilot area for a more sustainable energy transition.   The cooperation involves the German government through the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.   Friday, 04 September 2026   Indonesia is moving toward a greener economy, and creating new jobs that support the environment is becoming an important part of that journey. This issue was highlighted at the Indonesia’s Green Jobs Conference (IGJC) 2026 in Jakarta, where Indonesia and Germany strengthened their cooperation to promote green jobs and sustainable economic development.   The conference was held at the Bappenas building in Jakarta on September 2, 2026.
