By 2015, that figure had reached $56.6 million. In other words, the investment value increased by about $53.5 million in just three years.   The growth did not happen suddenly.   Wednesday, 02 September 2026   German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s visit to Jakarta in June 2026 was more than just a formal state visit. Behind the official ceremonies and meetings, Germany and Indonesia were looking for ways to make their economic relationship stronger, especially in business, investment, and energy.   Steinmeier met Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace on June 15. He arrived in Jakarta together with a delegation that included German business representatives from different sectors.
