  Tuesday, 21 July 2026   Australia is taking a bold step to strengthen its relationship with Southeast Asia—and Indonesia is right at the center of the plan. The Australian Government has announced a AU$2 billion Southeast Asia Investment Financing Facility, a major initiative designed to encourage Australian businesses to invest across the region, particularly in infrastructure and sustainable development projects. The announcement reflects Australia’s growing confidence in Southeast Asia as one of the world’s fastest-growing economic regions.   The investment facility was introduced during the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit, marking 50 years of dialogue between Australia and ASEAN.
