Tuesday, 11 August 2026 Indonesia is getting another major investment project, and this one is pretty serious. A consortium involving companies from Indonesia, the United States, and Germany plans to develop semiconductor, silica-sand, and advanced glass manufacturing facilities in Medan. The total investment is estimated at around USD 26.7 billion, or approximately IDR 444 trillion. The project will be located inside the Wiraraja Green Renewable Energy and Smart-Eco Industrial Park, which is part of Indonesia’s National Strategic Projects. So, what exactly will be built?
