During the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia, or TEI, in October 2025, Spanish representatives expressed strong interest in investing in Indonesia and potentially building a factory in the country.   The opportunity is attractive for a simple reason: Indonesia has access to a number of international trade agreements.   Tuesday, 18 August 2026   Spain has shown its interest in supporting Indonesia’s infrastructure development through low-interest loans and direct investment. The offer came as part of efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between Spain and Indonesia, two countries that have continued to look for new opportunities to work together.   In 2015, Spain announced that it was prepared to provide around 250 million euros in low-interest financing for joint projects in Indonesia.
