Thursday, 20 August 2026   Indonesia is set to receive major support for its energy transition as Germany confirms that the country will get funding under the Just Energy Transition Partnership, or JETP. The program was created to help Indonesia reduce its dependence on coal and move toward cleaner energy.   The funding package is worth around $20 billion, making it one of the biggest international financial commitments connected to Indonesia’s energy transition, especially in Jakarta.   Tuesday, 18 August 2026   Spain has shown its interest in supporting Indonesia’s infrastructure development through low-interest loans and direct investment. The offer came as part of efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between Spain and Indonesia, two countries that have continued to look for new opportunities to work together.   In 2015, Spain announced that it was prepared to provide around 250 million euros in low-interest financing for joint projects in Indonesia.
