Per lungo tempo, Lombok \u00e8 rimasta nell'ombra di Bali. Quando i turisti parlavano dell'Indonesia tropicale, la conversazione si concludeva quasi sempre con Canggu, Seminyak o Ubud. Nel frattempo, Lombok se ne stava tranquilla l\u00ec accanto, con spiagge deserte, spot per il surf di fama mondiale e colline cos\u00ec verdi da sembrare ritoccate con Photoshop.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ma le cose stanno cambiando in fretta. Ora, giganteschi progetti di resort, hotel di lusso e investimenti turistici multimiliardari stanno iniziando a trasformare Lombok in una delle destinazioni turistiche pi\u00f9 ambite del Sud-est asiatico. E, a dire il vero, l'isola non sembra pi\u00f9 "tranquilla".<\/p>\n

Ancor pi\u00f9 incredibile, il progetto includer\u00e0 il primo hotel a marchio "Destination by Hyatt" nel Sud-est asiatico. Gi\u00e0 solo questo la dice lunga: i marchi internazionali dell'ospitalit\u00e0 non si limitano pi\u00f9 a testare Lombok, ma ci stanno investendo seriamente.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Il governo indonesiano sta inoltre promuovendo con forza Lombok come una delle sue "Destinazioni turistiche super prioritarie". Miliardi di dollari vengono investiti in strade, aeroporti, infrastrutture turistiche e nella Zona economica speciale di Mandalika per attrarre visitatori e investitori stranieri.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Oltre a ci\u00f2, gruppi alberghieri di lusso come Hyatt, Marriott International, Kempinski Hotels e Club Med hanno tutti ampliato le proprie attivit\u00e0 o annunciato importanti progetti a Lombok negli ultimi anni.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Il motivo \u00e8 piuttosto semplice: Bali \u00e8 affollata. Il traffico \u00e8 infernale, i prezzi dei terreni sono pi\u00f9 alti e molti viaggiatori cercano un luogo che conservi un'atmosfera autentica e meno commercializzata. Lombok offre proprio questo equilibrio: lusso senza il caos.<\/p>\n

L'isola possiede anche un elemento che gli investitori apprezzano moltissimo: ampi spazi per crescere. A differenza di Bali, dove lo sviluppo \u00e8 gi\u00e0 concentrato in molte aree, Lombok conserva ancora vasti tratti di costa e colline che attendono di essere trasformati in resort, ville, beach club e centri benessere.<\/p>\n

Le aree intorno a Kuta Lombok e Mandalika stanno vivendo un periodo di rapida espansione edilizia. Caff\u00e8, spazi di coworking, resort per surfisti e ville di lusso spuntano quasi ogni mese. Alcuni definiscono addirittura Lombok "la nuova Bali", mentre altri etichettano gi\u00e0 certi progetti come "la Miami dell'Asia".\u201c<\/p>\n

Alcuni residenti e turisti temono che Lombok possa perdere il suo fascino autentico se lo sviluppo edilizio dovesse diventare troppo aggressivo.
