Indonesia is moving toward a cleaner energy future, and Germany says it is ready to support that journey. During a visit to Indonesia from August 18\u201320, 2026, German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Reem Alabali Radovan reaffirmed Germany\u2019s commitment to helping Indonesia accelerate its energy transition.<\/p>\n

Her goal was to develop new partnerships with the Indonesian government and German businesses while making it easier for German companies to enter the Indonesian market.<\/p>\n

Germany sees Indonesia as an important partner. According to Radovan, Indonesia is one of nine new focus countries where Germany wants to deepen cooperation. One important area of cooperation is renewable energy. Germany plans to support investment in renewable energy and modern electricity grids in Indonesia. Germany\u2019s support is also connected to the Just Energy Transition Partnership, or JETP.
