The aviation industry is becoming increasingly global, and Indonesia is making sure it stays at the center of that growth. One of the latest examples comes from Indonesia’s leading aircraft maintenance company, GMF Aerosia, which recently expanded its international partnerships during MRO Middle East 2026 in Dubai.

MRO, which stands for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul, is a critical part of the aviation business. Airlines rely on MRO providers to keep their aircraft safe, efficient, and ready for operation. As air travel continues to recover and expand worldwide, the demand for quality maintenance services is growing rapidly.

At the event, GMF signed several strategic agreements with aviation companies from the Middle East and beyond. These partnerships include aircraft maintenance projects involving Boeing 747F, Boeing 777F, Airbus A320, and Boeing 737 fleets. Collaborations were established with companies such as Aerotranscargo, Air One Technics, SkyOne, One Air Limited, Air Atlanta Icelandic, and Texel Air.

This is more than just a series of business contracts. It demonstrates how Indonesia and Middle Eastern aviation companies are building stronger long-term relationships. The partnerships open new opportunities for technology exchange, knowledge sharing, and business expansion across regions.

The Middle East has become one of the world’s most important aviation hubs. Airlines in the region operate large international fleets and require reliable maintenance partners. By strengthening its presence there, GMF is positioning Indonesia as a competitive player in the global aviation services industry.

Beyond signing agreements, GMF also held discussions with major industry players, including Oman Air, Salam Air, Etihad Engineering, flydubai, and Saudia Cargo. These conversations could potentially lead to future collaborations and business opportunities.

The expansion highlights an important trend: cooperation between Indonesia and the Middle East is no longer limited to trade and energy. Aviation is becoming another strategic sector where both regions can grow together. As GMF expands its international footprint, Indonesia gains greater visibility as a trusted aviation partner on the global stage.
